Encouraging student engagement and enhancing your educational goals through thoughtful furniture integration.
Furniture that promotes differentiated learning
Today, more than ever, there is a direct connection between differentiated learning and furniture. During the design phase of a project, we give a lot of attention to how a space can facilitate learning to encourage maximum student engagement. As we incorporate the furniture, fixtures and equipment design into the architectural design from the start, we are able to bring alignment to the whole student experience and ensuring a cohesive finished space. We can support the design rationale and help to further enhance your education goals.
Ervin Early Childhood Center
Ervin Early Childhood Center is a remodel of an abandoned middle school that had been vacant for nearly four years. Hollis + Miller was brought on board to address roof, building envelope and environmental issues, as well as provide a brain-based learning environment distinctly focused on literacy.
We believe in living a good story, not just telling one. Going beyond the nuts and bolts of our services is second nature to the inquisitive minds of our people. In the early 2000s we began to see a need for an expanded source of learning alongside the traditional school environment. As we studied various cultural approaches, we established an annual philanthropic contribution we call Learnscape.
