  • New Construction
  • 40,000 SF
  • $15 Million
  • Projected Completion: 2019

This new library is meant to engage the community. The Community commons visually connects to the civic plaza, street, and public market. The upper and lower entries allow for ease of patron access from both the Civic Center and Public Plaza.

The Lenexa community has an environment to learn, explore, create and connect that seamlessly fits into the new Lenexa City Center plaza and public market.

The 13th Johnson County Public Library is meant to engage with the community, visually connecting to the civic plaza, street and public market. It provides a variety of spaces for large and small gatherings, both inside and out. A large, open loft provides flexibility, and a balcony and deep stone ledge seating encourages community members to take learning outdoors.

Patrons will also be able to pick up and return books from a kiosk inside the City Center’s parking garage.
