The LEAD Innovation Studio offers high school students in the Park Hill School District an alternate learning experience in a state-of-the-art, professional setting.
Originating from a long-range plan for the steadily growing community and paired with challenging the status quo of educational delivery methods, the LEAD Innovation Studio is a unique solution and asset for the Park Hill School District. An autonomous and project-based curriculum encourages independent learning while opening doors for collaboration between students of each grade-level. There are no “typical” classrooms at the LEAD Innovation Studio, as many of the learning labs host operable walls and glass entries for learning on display while several are not enclosed by walls at all.
The concept of “learning happens everywhere” guided design through the incorporation of flexible learning spaces and technology into every corner and utilizing the building itself as a tool to complement instructional methods. Second-story balconies overlook natural forestry and serve as an outdoor classroom, social gathering areas or individual breakout spaces. Students at the LEAD Innovation Studio are visually connected throughout the entire building through glass walls and bright, open corridors, leading to a professional setting for independent learning to flourish.
